JPs Software - Color change 2

This is a little collection of video-plugins for Pinnacles software Studio 9 (and 10). It is an early beta-release of the plugins, so use them at your own risc. Feel free to send feedback and comments. The plugin was tested under Windows XP with Studio 9.4 - but most of the effects should also run under Studio 10. Programming these video-effects is an hobby of mine, so the plugin can be used freely as defined by the Gnu Public License (version 2 or later, see file COPYING).

Attention: if you encounter watermarks from Pinnacle when using my plugins, just update to the latest version of JPsEffects!

A big thank you for your e-mails and help - especially by the people behind the Declic Video-FX Website. With your help I was able to create a version of JPsEffects for Studio 17 (and 16?). It's great to see that people still like the effects after so many years! A special thank you goes to Saby for the french translation and lots of bugfixes.

Like ColorChange, but with a different set of parameters.

This effect differs from ColorChange in the way how similar colors are detected. A color is declared as similar to the selected color, if it is inside the hue-, saturation-, and value-range of the selected color. The hue range defines the similarity in the main color. Eg. a blue piece of paper has everywhere nearly the same hue. But if you take a picture of it, the color of the paper differs (eg. in brightness) depending on the lighting. So you can choose low values for the parameter hue range. saturation range defines the difference in a colors saturation. Low saturation means gray colors. Also saturation range can be set to low values. At last, value range defines the brightness of a color. Basically play with this parameter when choosing similar colors.

  • Color: selects the color that should be changed.
  • Hue range: hue range to define similar colors.
  • Sat range: saturation range to define similar colors.
  • Val range: value range to define similar colors.
  • Smooth: additionally, you can smooth the area of similar colors by selecting this parameter.
  • Change color: select this parameter to define how the selected colors should be changed.
  • New color: the new color.
  • Black and White: if selected, all other colors are changed to black and white.
